Although the occupation bullets quickly decided the fate of those who were with Hind, her fate remained unknown for 12 days.

The tragedy of little Hind began when she accompanied her uncle’s family in their small car in search of a “safer” place in the Tal Al-Hawa area on Arab League Street in the southwest of Gaza City.

Shortly after the car moved towards the north, the occupation soldiers rained down a barrage of bullets and shells on it. Her uncle Bashar, his wife and two children were immediately martyred, leaving Hind and her cousin Layan alive, while showers of bullets and shells rained down on the car from every direction.

Rescue crews called Bashar's phone so his daughter, Layan, could answer the call, but the sounds of bullets rose again, silencing her voice forever.
