According to JR West Japan, at around 7:20 p.m. on the 8th, copper cables called "Rail Bonds" attached to rail joints were found in multiple locations on the premises of Achisu Station on the JR Ube Line in Yamaguchi City. It was found cut off.



The cable is installed to carry current to the rail, but the ends that are fixed to the rail were cut off and taken away.



JR Ube Line service was suspended for the entire day between Shin-Yamaguchi Station and Ube Station in order to carry out cable restoration work.



In Yamaguchi Prefecture, similar cut cables were found on the JR Sanyo Main Line on the 7th and 8th, and operations on both lines were temporarily suspended.
