Actress Jennifer Coolidge says she is "sad" that her character Tanya McQuoid will no longer appear in the third season of "The White Lotus." "I'm jealous of everyone who takes part," she told the American newspaper "Today".

People would ask her if she was playing again. “I can honestly say that no one has asked me about it yet,” she says. "I think I'm dead. I think I'm dead now and maybe I'll be dead forever."

At the end of season two, Tanya fell off a boat, hit her head and fell into the sea. “If they kill you, you have to accept it.” Coolidge won two Emmys and a Golden Globe for her role in the series. It's about rich people who work through their problems in a luxury resort.

»But am I sad? I just want to be honest and say that I'm very sad that I'm not there." She had a lot of fun. She believes that the third season will be good. "There will be a lot of good stuff in it, probably a lot of sex too."

The chairman and CEO of streaming services HBO and Max, Casey Bloys, said in November that the third season likely would not premiere until 2025 because of the writers' and actors' strike impacting the company's production plans.
