On the 7th of this month, a total of 12 people, including 9 elementary school students, were bitten and injured by a dog in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, but the dog's owner responded to an interview and said, ``I was trying to keep the dog from running away.'' Just after 4 p.m. on the 7th, 12 people, nine elementary school students aged 7 to 63 and three adults, were found near two parks in Tanakajima-cho, Isesaki City, with a body length of about 1 meter and 30 cm. I was bitten on the leg by a medium-sized Shikoku dog and injured.



Eleven people suffered minor injuries, and the severity of the other person's injuries is still being determined, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening.



The dog was later captured near the scene and taken to an animal shelter.



On the 8th, a man in his 60s who owned a dog gave an interview over the intercom at his home and said, ``I kept the dog in a fenced yard and thought it wouldn't run away.Where did it escape from?'' I don't know, and I've never bitten anyone before."



He then apologized, saying he was "truly sorry" for causing the injury.



Also, since he has seven Shikoku dogs in his home, the owner said, ``We want to take even stricter measures than we do now.''
