"The Three Musketeers: Milady" (Les Trois Mousquetaires: Milady)

In the new work of Martin Bourboulon, the continuation of the film “The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan”, the star ensemble again gathered: Eva Green, Romain Duris, Vincent Cassel and others.

This time, the brave musketeer D'Artagnan will try to save his beloved, who was kidnapped literally before his eyes. His comrades - Athos, Porthos and Aramis - go to war to protect France from the British invasion, so in order to rescue his beloved, the hero has to team up with the mysterious Milady. However, because of the secrets of the past, both old friendships and new acquaintances are at risk.

The film has a 91% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Many critics praise Eva Green's performance, and Screen Daily's Lisa Nesselson, for example, also notes the spectacular scenery.

“Like the first film, this entire film from start to finish is a great reminder of France's wealth of filming locations that make for great period filmmaking—almost all of the shooting days were outside the studio—and of the French technical prowess behind the film. budget totaling €72 million for two films,” she wrote in her review.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the director said that in all the combat and dangerous scenes, Eva Green was filmed without stunt doubles and performed her own stunts.

"Marmalade"

The plot of the dramatic crime thriller revolves around the Baron, who finds himself behind bars. In prison, he meets a cellmate who has managed to escape more than once, and tells the story of how he and his lover, a girl named Marmalade, robbed a bank. The Baron and his friend decide to get out of prison and reunite with Marmalade.

This is the directorial debut of Keir O'Donnell, who also wrote the screenplay for the film. Previously, he co-wrote the comedy melodrama “It’s About You.”

According to journalist Rotem Rusak, such a leisurely film is a rarity these days.

“My favorite trick from Marmalade comes down to showing the audience how radically different the story itself and its perception can be from each other,” she noted in her review for the Nerdist portal. “Also, Marmalade is an incredibly patient film, which seems rare these days. He is in no hurry to surprise with plot twists and does not advertise them too much. The creators take the time to convince their viewers that they know exactly what's going on, and then show them how blind they really were. “Marmalade” trusts its story and tells it playfully.”

"Kiss" (Kysset)

The plot of the new film by Oscar-winning Danish director Bille August (“Farewell to Bafana”, “Everyone has his own movie”) is based on the novel “Impatience of the Heart” by Stefan Zweig.

The film shows the story of a young lieutenant Anton, who, on the eve of the First World War, intends to become an officer. One day, at a social reception, he meets a wealthy heiress confined to a wheelchair. The hero feels pity for his new acquaintance and spends more and more time with her. The girl falls in love with him, but Anton himself eventually becomes confused in his own feelings.

"Mission to Moscow" (93 guo ji lie che da jie an: Mosike xing dong)

The film, co-produced by China and Russia, is based on real events that occurred in 1993. The film was directed by Herman Yau, who previously worked on the Shock Wave duology and the films Ip Man: Birth of a Legend and Ip Man: The Last Stand.

The authors of the project tried to recreate the true events on the screen and the authenticity of the era. Screenwriter Chen Daming drew on his experiences living in Moscow in the 1990s and included incidents he witnessed in the film.

In the story, a group of operatives disguised as businessmen travel to Moscow. Their task is to catch criminals who raid trains along the Beijing-Moscow Trans-Siberian Railway route and bring them to justice.

During the premiere of the film in Beijing, Lau said that he had been wanting to film past events for 20 years.

“This story haunted me for many years, and finally I (made a film based on it. -
