China News Service, Xi'an, February 6th (Ma Yuyang, Shi Furong, Wang Lisa) In the early morning of the 5th, in the howling cold wind, Zhou Yuying and her fellow workers in the Weinan Bridge and Tunnel Inspection Work Area of the Weinan Bridge and Tunnel Workshop of the Xi'an Works Section of the China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group Company We set out to inspect the bridge and tunnel equipment of Congyu River Bridge and Fangshanyu Bridge on the Longhai Line.

The work area where Zhou Yuying is located is responsible for the daily inspection of bridges, tunnels, and roadbed equipment for a total of 175.318 kilometers of Longhai, Ningxi, and Nantongpu lines. During the Spring Festival travel period, the work area was also responsible for comprehensive inspections of 158 bridges, 30 tunnels, 65 hills, and 626 culverts.

"During the Spring Festival travel period, the frequency of trains increases. We not only have to climb to high altitudes to work, but also have to dig out dangerous rocks on the mountain. We must cover and inspect all equipment in the tube to ensure the safety of train operations." Zhou Yuying said that it has been a year recently. In the coldest season in China, as the saying goes, "three nines and fours nines walk on ice." In winter, bridge and tunnel parts will loosen due to cold shrinkage, causing the bridge deck guard rails to "crawl", affecting the safety of train operations and passenger comfort.

Bridge and tunnel inspection operations require not only hard work, but also carefulness. All bolts in the entire bridge need to be checked one by one to see if they are loose. There is no room for sloppiness. Each inspection lasts 6 to 7 hours, and the workload is more than twice as large as usual.

The platform space of the bridge pier is narrow, and most of the male workers in the work area are burly. Everyone has difficulties when encountering narrow areas, but this becomes a good opportunity for Zhou Yuying to show off her skills. Although she is a girl, Zhou Yuying, who looks weak, is unambiguous in her work. "I used to be afraid of heights. After working for 7 years, I had to climb heights almost every day. My fear of heights has been cured." Zhou Yuying said jokingly.

After long-term exploration and summary, Zhou Yuying already has a set of "secrets" for inspecting bridges. I saw her petite figure rubbing her frozen hands, tightening her seat belt, putting on a helmet, holding the inspection ladder steadily down to the bridge pier, and quickly got into the "belly" of the bridge, keeping bending or bending over. posture, squatting for more than 20 minutes.

"It's okay in summer, but in winter I wear thick clothes and I'm not very agile, so my speed is relatively slow." I saw her holding a check hammer, knocking here, looking there, sometimes taking out a ruler to measure, sometimes taking out another The notebook records carefully, and the "ding-dong-dang-dang" knocking sounds come and go, echoing in the empty valley.

In addition to checking whether the bearing bolts are loose, you should also check whether the bearing butter and dust cover are complete, whether the bolts are loose, whether the avoidance platform sidewalk railings, inspection ladders, and hanging fences are in good condition, whether the walking boards are damaged, and whether the beams are cracked , the muscles have fallen off and exposed, and whether the drainage hole is blocked by blood stasis. From top to bottom, from the inside out, any disease that may affect driving safety cannot escape her "fierce eyes".

During the day, we went up mountains and down rivers to look for diseases and hidden dangers, and at night we burned the midnight oil, sorting out information and analyzing data. Just walking more than 10 kilometers every day is a severe test, but Zhou Yuying never complains about being tired. "Since I put on this work uniform, I must be worthy of this position. I will try my best to do what others can do." This is what Zhou Yuying said and did. Although she seems to be weak, she always has a feeling of unwillingness to admit defeat in her heart. The energy.

This year is Zhou Yuying’s 7th year since joining the team. She started working in 2017 and has now obtained the on-site protection certificate, on-site protection certificate and construction leader certificate. Now she knows which culverts in the workshop are prone to siltation, which tunnels are prone to water seepage, which hills have dangerous rocks, and which bridges are defective.

At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, Zhou Yuying and her co-workers returned to the work area. A long whistle pierced the sky in the distance, and an EMU drove across the bridge in the sunset and sped away. "Every time I take the train home and pass a bridge, I think of my job and I am very proud of it," Zhou Yuying said. (over)
