This is the first exhibition in Guangdong Province to show the audience the splendid Bronze Age civilization in the Yangtze River Basin.

  The exhibition brings together a total of 137 precious exhibits (sets) from Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui and other provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Basin, of which nearly 40% are first-class cultural relics, with a large number and rich types.

  The exhibition takes the regional culture of the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River Basin as the main line, and focuses on the three major cultural circles of Bashu, Jingchu and Wuyue during the Shang and Zhou dynasties. They have unique temperaments and different styles, but also blend and promote each other. . The exhibition consists of four parts: "Bashu and Shu shine together", "heroes competing for glory", "diversity and unity" and "the world is unified".

  In the exhibition, the bronze masks and bronze heads of the Shang Dynasty unearthed from the No. 2 sacrificial pit at the Sanxingdui site in Guanghan City, Sichuan Province attracted much attention, attracting many citizens to watch and take photos. The reporter saw at the scene that the bronze mask had short ears, a short straight nose, a wide mouth with raised corners, revealing a mysterious smile. The bronze figure's head is flat-topped, with hair hanging back and braids hanging down the back of the head.

  The Shang Dynasty bronze ware unearthed from Tomb No. 1 of Lijiazui at the Panlongcheng site in Wuhan City, Hubei Province is only decorated with a Taotie pattern belt, a single layer without shading, which is a typical decorative style of the early Shang Dynasty. It is understood that the 杝 is a wine vessel that can also be used to warm wine. It was popular in the Shang Dynasty and was mostly used by the royal family and nobles of a certain level.

  The exhibition also displays the Shen Gui (Spring and Autumn Period) of Cai Hou unearthed from the tomb of Cai Hou in Ximennei, Shouxian County, Anhui Province, the Warring States bells unearthed from Tomb No. 2 of Leigudun, Suizhou City, Hubei Province, and the No. 9 Tomb of Guanping Village, Yutai Township, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. Important cultural relics such as the unearthed bronze sword of Lu Ying, King of Yue, "Zhi Yu Yu".

  The exhibition is hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Museum and co-organized by 18 cultural and museum units including Sichuan Museum, Hunan Museum, Anhui Museum, Hubei Provincial Museum, China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing, and Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan, Sichuan.
