A legend of African football speaks on RFI: Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor, former striker for the biggest European clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham, Real Madrid and Monaco, is enjoying an active sporting retirement. The former captain of the Togo Hawks, TV consultant during CAN 2024, is now at the head of a foundation that bears his name (SEA) and works for the youth of the continent. It develops activities and training in the fields of education, health and entrepreneurship, particularly in agribusiness. At the microphone of Bruno Faure (Éco d'ici, Éco d'ailleurs on RFI), he reveals his projects in Togo. He delivers his vision of economic development through sport in Africa and rants against the poor results of the Éperviers, the Togolese national team absent from the last editions of the African Cup of Nations. He says he is ready to take responsibility to help her get back on her feet.
