Singer Adele will spend August in Munich: a whopping ten concerts are planned within a few weeks - including an arena built especially for the singer.

At the end of January there was initially talk of four concert dates in Munich, a few days later four more were announced - now there are two more concerts on August 30th and 31st. According to the organizers, the reason for this was “the unique demand”.

Fans can expect a whopping ten open-air concerts - on August 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 14th, 16th, 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st August. The singer will perform on the grounds of the Munich Trade Fair, in an arena that will be built especially for her.

As the Live Nation agency reports, more than 2.2 million people had registered for ticket sales by Monday evening. However, many Adele supporters are likely to come away empty-handed, as the arena can “only” accommodate 80,000 people per performance. According to the organizer, ticket prices range from 74.90 to 419.90 euros.

Advance sales are staggered. Registered fans can try their luck from Wednesday at 10 a.m. Telekom or RTL+ customers from Thursday, February 8th at 10 a.m. Sales at Ticketmaster also start on Thursday, but only from 2 p.m. General ticket sales begin Friday, February 9th at 10 a.m.

First time on mainland Europe since 2016

Organizer Marek Lieberberg said in an interview with BR24 that there were more registrations than for Adele's concerts in Hyde Park and Las Vegas. The rush reflects the “international interest” in the concerts. According to Live Nation, it will be the first time Adele has performed in mainland Europe since 2016. In addition, the ten Munich dates are the only concerts currently planned - apart from Adele's engagement in Las Vegas, where she appears almost every weekend.

In an Instagram post, the singer recently wrote that Munich had been chosen as the venue “in the middle of Europe”. Similar to her show in Las Vegas, she will perform there in a group and fans will arrive from all countries. "I couldn't imagine a better way to spend my summer," she wrote.
