Before the finale, author Anja Rützel had already made a clear recommendation for SPIEGEL. And that's how it happened: Singer Lucy Diakovska from the pop band No Angels ("Daylight In Your Eyes") won the RTL jungle camp. The 47-year-old received the most audience votes in the finale of the show "I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here!" on Monday night, as the station announced.

Her last two competitors – the reality candidate Leyla Lahouar (27) and the influencer Twenty4Tim (23) – were left behind. Diakovska, who everyone actually only calls by her first name Lucy, can now call herself the jungle queen. She also won prize money of 100,000 euros.

Lucy is part of Germany's most famous casting girl group No Angels (German: "Keine Engel"), which triggered a whole casting boom on German television in 2001. So she has known show business for a long time. In the jungle camp, Lucy was particularly noticeable for her urge to move, her caring nature and her relatively unpretentious nature. However, when it came to an exam, she showed great ambition. This was also the case in the final: there she received four out of five stars. Among other things, she had to eat pig's uterus.

The final was very emotional for Diakovska

As the new jungle queen, the 47-year-old follows in the footsteps of previous winners such as Costa Cordalis, Brigitte Nielsen and Ingrid van Bergen. Her immediate predecessor was the make-up artist and reality TV candidate Djamila Rowe.

Lucy had already predicted before the start of the show that a possible final appearance could be a highly emotional affair for her. »This time the finale is on the anniversary of my mother's death. “Maybe the universe had something in mind,” the Bulgarian-born singer said. After her victory, Diakovska was very emotional and shed tears.
