According to the prefecture, in December last year, a male employee in his 30s was assisting a male user in his 50s at Aina Yamayurien, a prefectural support facility for people with disabilities in Atsugi City, when he was unable to eat his meal. In frustration, he swung the spoon down, hitting him in the forehead and injuring him.



In addition, interviews with this employee revealed that from around September to November last year, when a male user in his 40s took out clothing from another user's drawer and tried to put it on, he was stopped with a harsh tone of command. I also realized that I was doing it.



The local government that received the report determined that these acts amounted to abuse, and on the 2nd of this month requested that the facility submit measures to prevent it from happening again.



This facility is operated by the social welfare corporation ``Kanagawa Kyodokai'' under contract from the prefecture, but in November of last year, a male user was assaulted and seriously injured, resulting in a cracked leg bone. Another employee was arrested in connection with the incident.



Kanagawa Prefecture and the Kanagawa Kyodo Association held a press conference on the 5th and apologized, saying, ``This is an act that should never have happened, and we will continue to do our best to prevent it from happening again.'' We apologize.
