A carnival float caught fire during a carnival parade in Kehl, Baden-Württemberg. To save themselves from the flames, several people jumped from the trailer onto the street, the Offenburg police headquarters said. Five people are said to have been injured in the fire and the jump from the trailer, some seriously. According to the police, shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, an engine on the removed trailer allegedly deflagrated. This caused the vehicle to catch fire.
According to the police, the amount of property damage caused is still unclear.
