Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced the complete or partial destruction of 43 Israeli military vehicles, the killing of 15 Israeli soldiers, the bombardment of Tel Aviv and its environs with an intense missile barrage, and the bombing of a tunnel with a number of Israeli soldiers, during the past days.

Regarding this, the military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, says that Abu Ubaida’s numbers are a partial description of the fierce clashes taking place on the field in the southwest of Gaza City and the southwest of the city of Khan Yunis.

Al-Duwairi pointed out - during his analysis for Al Jazeera - that the ongoing battles are not easy and the fighting is fierce in the two regions, indicating that the videos broadcast by the resistance provide a small picture of what is happening.

He considered Abu Ubaida's numbers to be "a pressure card on the Israeli entity, in light of the ongoing movement against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the prolongation of the war, with the need to accelerate the conclusion of a prisoner exchange deal."

Regarding the implications of the bombing of Tel Aviv, Al-Duwairi believed that it carries a message and a political content more than a military one, noting that no one can determine when the war will end.

He added that the presence of contradictions in Israel casts a shadow on the way the battle is being managed, while the resistance in Gaza is managing its battle in the long run and is still militarily capable of striking Tel Aviv, in a clear response to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant’s allegations of dismantling the Qassam’s organizational frameworks.
