As one of the first batch of zero-carbon demonstration buildings in the new area, the Xiongan Free Trade Pilot Zone Exchange and Exhibition Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Exchange and Exhibition Center"), which will be put into use in December 2023, was designed with "green, ecological, brand, The concept of "openness and innovation" is the theme.
From a distance, this white building has a simple and elegant appearance, full of artistic flavor. Walking into it, the construction achievements, investment promotion, and policy promotion of the Xiongan Free Trade Pilot Zone are displayed here. In addition to its display function, its high-tech attributes also attract particular attention.
"This building is like a living body. It can achieve energy self-sufficiency through various combinations of technologies." Talking about why it is called a "breathing building", the designer of the Exchange Exhibition Center and the project architect of Xiongan Railway Construction Center Engineer Zhang Lei explained.
Looking over the building from the air, you can see a unique glass dome. Zhang Lei said that the top of the exchange exhibition center is covered with photovoltaic panels, and the roof uses photovoltaic glass lighting skylights. Relying on an efficient, reliable, and intelligent photovoltaic power generation system, the solar energy is converted into current, and then the entire DC microgrid is carried out through light storage direct-flexible technology. Intelligent regulation ultimately achieves self-sufficiency in building power energy.
In Xiongan in winter, the outdoor temperature is low. Yet in this building, the thermometer on the wall read 24°C.
"In order to make the exchange and exhibition center 'like spring all year round', a ground source heat pump system is used here to provide heating and cooling services." Zhang Lei said that the ground source heat pump system discharges indoor heat underground in summer and takes out underground heat for indoor use in winter. , effectively maintain the balance of heat extraction and underground ecological environment, and achieve the energy saving and carbon reduction effect of the building.
In addition to utilizing solar and geothermal energy, the building is also well insulated. Zhang Lei said that some doors and windows of the exchange exhibition center have electric-controlled central sunshade louvers implanted in the middle. The central sunshade louvers can be adjusted automatically through manual control and intelligent technology to isolate the sun's heat radiation from the outdoors.
Zhang Lei said that the seven active and passive technology combinations of ventilation corridors, thermal insulation and shading, ground source heat pumps, solar energy storage, energy storage water tanks, efficient electromechanical, and smart operation and maintenance give this building a "green core" and "can reduce Carbon emissions are about 190 tons."
Currently, Xiongan New Area is vigorously promoting ultra-low energy consumption buildings. In addition to the Xiongan Free Trade Pilot Zone Exchange and Exhibition Center, many ultra-low energy consumption buildings have been put into use.
