A test ride event was held for the general public between Kanazawa and Tsuruga on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, which is scheduled to open next month, allowing passengers to get an early taste of the new section.

In this test ride, we will depart from Kanazawa Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, which will open on the 16th of next month, and Tsuruga Station in Fukui Prefecture, and make a round trip.

It will be held for two days, on the 3rd and 4th, and about 2,000 people will be selected by lottery out of a 75-to-1 application ratio to experience the ride.

Approximately 500 families and railway fans gathered at Tsuruga Station, where they took commemorative photos with the W7 series commercial vehicles as they entered the new platform.

A woman in her 30s from Aichi Prefecture, who was traveling with her child, said, ``I applied because my son loves Shinkansen trains.I'm looking forward to seeing the snowy scenery from the train.''

Around noon, the Shinkansen carrying the participants departed for Kanazawa.

Shortly after, the Shinkansen that had departed from Kanazawa Station arrived at Tsuruga Station, and the participants who had been early to experience the new section of the train got off the train.

A man in his 50s from Ishikawa Prefecture who took the train said, ``It was quiet and the ride was very comfortable.I would like to ride the Shinkansen again to visit Tsuruga.''
