Ibaraki Prefectural Police has confirmed that an organized crime group leader who was arrested on the 1st after being wanted for his involvement in an attempted murder incident in Nagano Prefecture was involved in an incident in which an organized crime group leader was murdered in Mito City in 2022. Interviews with investigators revealed that the matter is being investigated as suspicious.

In September 2020, suspect Kane Nariyuki (55), a leader of the designated organized crime group "Kizunai," stabbed a 51-year-old man in the armpit in a car parked in the parking lot of a restaurant in Miyata Village, Nagano Prefecture. He is suspected of attempted murder for allegedly shooting someone with a handgun and injuring him.



Police had been investigating the whereabouts of the suspect for more than three years with wanted people all over the country, but recently they received an anonymous tip that someone similar to the suspect had been seen in Sendai City. He was arrested on the 1st at an apartment complex in Wakabayashi Ward, Sendai City.



Ibaraki Prefectural Police are investigating this executive as they believe he may have been involved in an incident in which a 40-year-old executive was shot and killed with a handgun at an organized crime office in Mito City in January 2022 after being wanted. This was discovered through interviews with the people involved.



Police are investigating in detail his actions while on the run.
