It’s a Cameroonian “metoo” affair that has kept the country in suspense for ten days. Targeted by two investigations and dozens of accusations of sexual violence and rape, businessman Hervé Bopda was finally arrested by the police on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in Douala, according to testimonies collected on site.
In Senegal, the fight against cancer has made great progress in recent years. Free chemotherapy in force since 2019 has encouraged patients to increasingly go to hospitals. Screenings against breast and cervical cancers, which are among the most common, have increased fourfold in 2023 compared to previous years and activities are being organized by associations fighting the disease to reduce the taboo around cancer.
