As the Spring Festival approaches, fresh fruits from abroad are entering the peak sales season in the Chinese market. Yangshan Port is one of the most important fresh food transit points in the country. Kiwis from Italy and cherries from Chile have begun to enter the port on a large scale. It is understood that since mid-November last year, 1 to 2 "Cherry Express" ships from Chile direct to Yangshan Port have arrived at the port every week. In order to prepare for the rapid customs clearance of tens of thousands of tons of seaborne fruits, Yangshan Border Inspection Station has launched the "pre-arrival inspection vehicle" for border inspection on the basis of 24/7 guarantee, and moved the permit application window to the ship's stairway to reduce the number of passengers. The transfer time of crew documents ensures that customs clearance procedures are completed as soon as possible, which helps speed up the customs clearance of fresh fruits.
