A woman arrested after an arson attack at the Iranian embassy in Berlin is suspected of having committed anti-Semitic crimes. After Hamas' terrorist attack on Israel, the 42-year-old is said to have repeatedly painted Stars of David with integrated swastikas on walls in subway stations and toilets, as the police announced on Thursday.

The criminal police searched the suspected Iranian woman's apartment in Kreuzberg that morning. It was said that spray cans, stencils and a cell phone were confiscated.

On January 25th, the woman is said to have poured gasoline from a canister at the gate to the entrance to the embassy property in Steglitz-Zehlendorf. According to police, property guards prevented them from continuing and setting fire to the pool. After subsequent police investigations, allegations were also made of spraying and painting anti-Semitic symbols and signs of terrorist organizations.
