Just watching it makes you feel uneasy - even if it's not a real funeral. This is the smallest escape room in the world and is located in Barcelona. The idea is to live through your own funeral - or rather, to prevent it by escaping the coffin.

Miriam Castella, escape room participant:

»It's a bit scary in the coffin because there are things that you don't expect, that can scare you a bit, and suddenly it's like it's happening and then you're alone in the coffin. You can talk to your partner, but they aren't lying next to you. So it's like feeling like I'm alone in a coffin and I have to figure out how to get out of it, and that can be a little scary."

Before things really get started, the participants can choose a coffin. If they wish, the players can also face cremation instead of burial. Of course only with virtual flames and artificial smoke. But first it goes into the coffin. If you want to get out of here again, you have to solve various puzzles within 30 minutes with your team partner in the coffin next to it. The participants can talk to each other via loudspeakers. If one of the team gives up, the game is over for both of them.

Carlos Granedo, escape room participant:

»It is a unique experience because there is nothing comparable. It's the smallest escape room I've ever been to and it's very individual. And we had to yell at each other because I could hear them on the other side. And it's a must. It is a must. I really recommend it.«

Nothing can go wrong because the participants are monitored by surveillance cameras the whole time. However, this escape room may still be unsuitable for people with claustrophobia.
