Pop singer Adele is coming to Germany for four concerts in the summer. On August 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th, the 35-year-old Brit will appear in an arena specially created for her on the grounds of the Munich Trade Fair, the Live Nation agency announced on Wednesday. The four performances were the only shows in Europe, it was said.

According to the agency, it is the first time that Adele has appeared in mainland Europe since 2016. "I couldn't imagine a better way to spend my summer," Adele wrote on her Instagram account that morning. In Munich she will get a “unique, tailor-made pop-up stadium, exactly for the show that I want to present.”

According to the agency, the arena on the Munich exhibition grounds offers space for around 80,000 music fans per concert. Registration to purchase tickets is now possible and starts for registered fans on February 7th. Normal advance sales are scheduled to begin on February 9th.

In the summer of 2022, Adele performed in London's Hyde Park. Since then, the 16-time Grammy winner has only been seen on stage at the “Weekends with Adele” in Las Vegas. The final show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is scheduled for June 15th.

The Austrian organizer Klaus Leutgeb has already organized major concerts with Andreas Gabalier, Helene Fischer and Robbie Williams in 2022 on the outdoor area of the trade fair in Munich-Riem. In 2023, the hip-hop festival “Rolling Loud” took place there, which was criticized for the apparently large-scale use of electricity generators in the Munich city council. According to the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Leutgeb Entertainment Group has exclusive rights to the area until 2025; it organizes the Adele concerts in cooperation with Marek Lieberberg's Live Nation Germany.
