The Taiga Drama Museum opened in Otsu City on the 29th, where visitors can enjoy the worldview of NHK's taiga drama ``Hikaru Kimi e'', displaying costumes and other items used in the drama.

The ``Taiga Drama Museum'' was built in a building on the grounds of Ishiyamadera Temple in Otsu City, where Murasaki Shikibu, the main character of ``Hikaru Kimi e,'' is said to have formulated the idea for ``The Tale of Genji.''

A commemorative ceremony was held on the 29th, and First Summer Uika, who plays Sei Shonagon, said, ``I think Murasaki Shikibu and Sei Shonagon have been seen as rivals, but the drama depicts a new relationship between the two. I hope you look forward to seeing it in the future.''



Inside the museum, there are replicas of props such as Murasaki Shikibu's costume and waka books and desks used in the filming of the drama, and you can also enjoy interviews with the actors.



When the doors opened at 2 p.m., more than 40 people who had been lining up entered the theater all at once, taking photos of some of the exhibits and enjoying the world of the drama.



A man in his 40s who visited from Suita City, Osaka, said, ``I was able to learn about the worldview of the Heian period.I also thought it was very moving that the Taiga Drama Museum was built in a place related to Murasaki Shikibu.'' Ta.

Enryakuji Jigen-do Hall in Otsu City, which has been designated as a nationally important cultural property, houses the tombs of successive Tendai zasu, the highest-ranking Tendai sect priests, as well as memorial towers for Sei Shonagon and Murasaki Shikibu.
