British Princess Kate, 42, is back home after a long stay in the hospital. "The Princess of Wales is back home in Windsor to continue recovering from her operation," Kensington Palace announced on Platform X. "She's making good progress."

Together with her husband, heir to the throne Prince William, 41, she wanted to thank the hospital team. The family is also grateful for the well wishes they have received from all over the world.

According to the palace, Princess Kate underwent planned abdominal surgery in a private clinic in London on January 16th. The royal family did not provide any further information about the reason for the procedure. It is not supposed to be a cancer. The palace's statement said at the time that the Princess of Wales would remain in hospital for "ten to 14 days before continuing her recovery at home." She “probably won’t return to her public duties before Easter.”

At the same hospital where Kate was, her father-in-law King Charles III, 75, is being treated for an enlarged prostate.
