Kanye West's Instagram: Over-the-top fashion project or S&M relationship?

The public actions of rapper Kanye West, who has also been calling himself Ye or Yeezus for some time now, have something of a never-ending car accident. His strange relationship with Adolf Hitler, his anti-Semitic outbursts, the bizarre feuds with former friends - this man, who recorded some of hip-hop's most important albums and designed one of the most successful shoes in sportswear history with the Yeezy, has long been known , turned into an annoying internet troll. But unlike comparable figures like Donald Trump or Elon Musk, he is not on his way to the White House and is not making cars or sending rockets into space. But it just makes a lot of noise.

However, since West has been dating Australian Bianca Censori - whether they are actually married or not is unclear - the whole thing has taken on a whole new direction. For months, West has been posting almost exclusively photos of Censori on his Instagram account. At first it looked like a somewhat over-the-top fashion project: pictures of her in skin-tight outfits, plus West in clothes that looked like Robocop in tights. Last September, the couple stood in line at a famous Berlin kebab shop.

But a good three weeks ago the account changed: Censori was now only seen almost naked or with fetish accessories. A film showed her driving a car in latex clothing. All photos and videos have now been deleted and can only be found on Censori's channel. What's going on here?

Yeezus has become human

He himself has often discussed the fact that nothing interests West as much as power. Also his porn addiction. Is an S/M relationship publicly celebrated here? Or is West taking revenge on his ex-wife Kim Kardashian – who bears a striking resemblance to Censori – with the pictures? Is this all toxic or consensual?

Interestingly, these pictures do one thing above all else: they transform the self-proclaimed super genius Kanye West into a human again. The entire internet is full of pictures of couples who feel they need to share their fetishes with the world. Welcome, Ye. And the sentence you want to say to him also applies to many of his contemporaries: Put your cell phone away. It's not good for you.
