China News Service, Beijing, January 29th. On January 28th, the fifth national membership conference of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association was held in Beijing. The conference elected the directors, executive directors, president and vice president of the fifth council of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association. Ma Xiaowei was elected as the president of the fifth council of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Yu Jingjin was elected as the executive vice president and secretary-general, and 22 other vice presidents including Wang Chen.
Ma Xiaowei, Secretary and Director of the Party Leadership Group of the National Health Commission and President of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, delivered an opening speech. He fully affirmed the efforts of the fourth Council of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association in consolidating and improving the post-graduation medical education system and regular assessment system, promoting the innovative development of continuing medical education, and Outstanding achievements have been made in building a clinical medicine communication platform, publicizing and implementing relevant industry policies and regulations, strengthening doctors' self-discipline and safeguarding their rights, and creating a social atmosphere that respects doctors and health.
Lei Haichao, deputy secretary of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the National Health Commission, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He said that the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, under the leadership of the fourth council, has made positive contributions to deepening the reform of the medical and health system, building a healthy China, and especially the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic. Relevant heads of relevant departments and bureaus of the National Health Commission, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the National Administration of Disease Control and Prevention attended the meeting.
