CAN 2024: Cape Verde overcomes Mauritania and advances to the quarterfinals

Cape Verde is back among the eight best teams on the continent. Monday January 29, in Abidjan, the Blue Sharks had to work hard to defeat a courageous Mauritania in the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations (1-0). Scorer and captain Ryan Mendes are in the quarter-finals for the second time in the history of the selection.
