Military and strategic expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi stressed in his daily military analysis that the Israeli occupation forces will not win the battle in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, because the Palestinian resistance is managing the battle effectively.

The Khan Yunis Brigade is historically considered one of the most ferocious Palestinian resistance brigades in fighting, and it was the one that used adhesive gaskets, according to Al-Duwairi, who added that this brigade has knowledge in battle management. He had initially prevented 6 Israeli brigades from going deeper into the Bani Suhaila area, east of Khan Yunis.

In his talk about the resistance’s performance, the military expert cited the new scenes broadcast by the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - relating to battles between its fighters and the Israeli army in the west of the city of Khan Yunis.

According to Al-Duwairi, the Israeli occupation forces insist on entering Khan Yunis, because they are looking for “deceitful targets” through the opening of the tunnels, which they believe will help them reach the tunnel network, noting that the occupation believes that the Israeli prisoners and Palestinian resistance leaders are present in the tunnel network in Khan Younes.

It is noteworthy that the occupation army withdrew yesterday evening, Sunday, two brigades from the area, because it was unable to employ the force with which it sent (8 brigades) there in the correct manner, according to the assessment of the military expert.

Regarding the course of the battles in Khan Yunis, the same source suggested that the occupation army would reconsider and retreat in order to reorganize and increase combat readiness, if casualties among its forces increased.

He expressed his belief that the occupation will not win the battle of Khan Yunis, and even if it enters it, it will not be able to consolidate it, as happened with it in the Sheikh Radwan area in Gaza City, and "but it will cause great damage and losses to civilians, fighters, and infrastructure."
