Bruce Springsteen postponed all his concerts scheduled for the rest of this month of September on medical recommendation after suffering a gastric ulcer, the musician confirmed Wednesday in a statement released through his social networks.

"Mr. Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of a peptic (gastric) ulcer and the decision of his medical advisors is that he must postpone the rest of his September shows," reads the text in which it is assured that the artist known as The Boss needs the rest of the month off to undergo treatment.

It has not yet been specified what will be the new dates for these shows that have been canceled since the concert that Springsteen and the E Street Band had planned for this Thursday at the multipurpose pavilion JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse (state of New York).

The composer also missed the shows he had scheduled in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 due to an illness which did not materialize then. These concerts are expected to take place as early as next year.

The statement of the famous rocker culminated with an apology and "the broken heart" for the postponement because, both the band and he, already "miss" their "fabulous fans" of the canceled concert in Philadelphia.

"We'll be back to pick up these concerts and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. (...) With love and may God bless you all," said Springsteen, who had performed from August 30 to September 3 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey with shows of up to three hours each.
