Actress Shannen Doherty has received another harsh diagnosis on her ordeal with cancer. As the 52-year-old announced on Instagram on Wednesday, metastases had been found in her brain.

Doherty, known from series such as "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Charmed", has been struggling with the disease since 2015. At that time, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which had already spread. Two years later, however, a slight all-clear followed: the therapies had an effect, and the cancer could be pushed back.

In 2019, the breast cancer returned, in the final stage – incurable. Since then, Doherty has been fighting for her life and sharing her story with the public to educate people about breast cancer.

In two recent Instagram posts, she shows videos of radiation treatments. In it, she is seen crying and fixed in a mask for irradiation. "This is what cancer can look like," she writes. She is extremely claustrophobic, and her life is just a tumult.

According to Doherty, he was diagnosed with the brain metastases in January and has been in therapy ever since. Around the same time, the actress is said to have separated from her husband Kurt Iswarienko after eleven years of marriage. She did not want the separation, but saw "no other option," as a spokeswoman for the actress told People. In April, she filed for divorce.
