After the allegations against Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann, Berlin bans after-show parties at the band's concerts in the capital. "In Berlin, there will be no after-show parties of the band Rammstein in the properties for which I am responsible," said Interior and Sports Senator Iris Spranger (SPD). It is necessary to wait for the investigations, "but the allegations are so serious that the protection and safety of women have absolute priority here".

In the capital, Rammstein plans to give concerts in the Olympic Stadium on July 15, 16 and 18. The state of Berlin can prohibit the after-show parties in the location because it has been the sole shareholder of Olympiastadion Berlin GmbH, which operates the Olympic Stadium, since 2006.

So far, no investigations against Lindemann

The Berlin public prosecutor's office has not yet investigated Till Lindemann, a spokesman told the Tagesspiegel. In any case, information on a possible procedure could only be given if there was "a minimum number of documented facts".

Several women had recently made serious allegations against Lindemann. In an interview with Norddeutscher Rundfunk and the Süddeutsche Zeitung, they described how young women were apparently recruited specifically for sex with the singer. They were specifically addressed at concerts and Instagram, then invited to after-show parties organized especially for Lindemann.

Band rejects allegations

Two women also reported alleged sexual acts to which they had not consented. The band has since denied the allegations.

On Tuesday, further allegations in a video by influencer Kayla Shyx caused a stir. In it, the YouTuber described her experiences from an after-show party after a Rammstein concert. "We were just brought in there so that Rammstein could choose some," Shyx said.

In a statement, Rammstein said that the allegations had hit them very hard and that they were taken extremely seriously. »We say to our fans: It is important to us that you feel comfortable and safe at our shows – in front of and behind the stage.« It went on to say that the band asks not to be prejudged.

Starting Wednesday, Rammstein will play four concerts in Munich. Some changes have already been announced there: For example, there will be no so-called row zero in Munich and no after-show parties. In addition, the management has announced an awareness concept, details of which are not yet available.
