Actor Kida Khodr Ramadan:

On Instagram, actor Kida Khodr Ramadan has released a statement announcing his temporary retirement from the public eye. In the message, Ramadan is thoughtful and remorseful. He writes that he has "been able to experience many beautiful moments, successes and people" and that many positive experiences have come about by working continuously on new projects.

"In doing so, however, I forgot to look left and right and no longer properly perceived people, situations and feelings," Ramadan shares.

"I'm overworked and I've realized that I'm no longer the person I want to be. That's why I'm taking time out to calm down and reflect honestly," writes the 46-year-old. In doing so, he announces that he will get support. To work him and "come back stronger." The time-out is also important so that he can be a good role model.

The Beirut-born actor and director, who lives with his family in Berlin, is best known for his role as Ali "Toni" Hamady in the drama series "4 Blocks", for which he received numerous awards. His series »Asbestos« recently broke viewing records in the ARD media library.

Ramadan can currently be seen in »German Genius« on Warner TV Comedy and on the streaming service Wow. The eight-part comedy series is based on the British series "Extras" by comedian and actor Ricky Gervais, 61, who also appears in "German Genius".
