Ahead of the traditional event "Chagu Chag Mako (Umakko)" held this weekend in Morioka City and other places, Mako visited the children's garden in Yahaba Town next door, wearing the same decorations as the actual event.

Mako visited the Fudo Children's Garden in Yahaba Town, where she was greeted by about 130 children, and the horses, dressed in decorations as if they were in the real world, entered the garden with the sound of bells.

Chagu Chagu Mako is a traditional event in which gorgeously decorated horses parade through Morioka City, and will be held on the following Saturday, the 10th of this month.

Yahaba Town is not part of the course, but horses raised in the town also participate, so every year horses visit kindergartens and nursing homes in the town before the actual event.

The children took pictures with the horses and fed them their favorite carrots.

The children said, "I was a little scared, but I was able to eat carrots properly."

Teruo Fujii of the Yahaba Branch of the Chagu Chag Horse Club said, "Seeing the faces of the children gives me courage ahead of the event. We are blessed with good weather, and I hope that many tourists and foreigners will come to see it."
