A 30-metre-high construction crane has crashed into two industrial buildings in Lower Bavaria. No one was injured on Sunday in Mainburg, as reported by the police headquarters in Straubing. However, damage in the mid-single-digit million range was incurred.

The buildings were severely damaged by the accident. According to the police, they were partly blocked and supported due to static problems. A photovoltaic system on a roof had been damaged, causing short circuits and smoke. According to the information, a building fire was prevented by the fire brigade.

The construction crane itself was also completely destroyed. According to the authorities, it has not yet been conclusively clarified why he overturned. Initial indications apparently point to a subsidence of the subsoil.
