Since there is a risk that the damage of molesters on trains will increase in the coming season, a campaign was held at Ebina Station in Kanagawa Prefecture to call for the prevention of molestation damage.

The campaign was held at Ebina Station, which is served by three railways, and was attended by about 3 people, including police and railway company officials.

Police officers, along with university students who had gathered as volunteers, handed out leaflets to station passengers with words such as "Molestation is a crime" to warn them.

Also, if they saw damage in the car, people around them would call out and ask for help.

The Kanagawa Prefectural Police has designated the period from the 25st to the 1th of this month as the "period to strengthen measures against molesters" because there is a risk that the number of victims and consultations of molesters on trains will increase in the coming hot season.

During this period, in addition to calling attention at major stations and commercial facilities throughout the prefecture, digital posters created in collaboration with a zoo in Yokohama City calling for "never molest" and "elephants that you will definitely regret" will be displayed at the stations.

Hiroshi Kojima, chief of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Crime Suppression Office, said, "It is important for everyone to work together to prevent damage, such as asking people around you, 'Are you okay?'"
