Although the Turkish presidential election battle has calmed down and faded after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won a new presidential term, some of the repercussions of these elections are still igniting social networking sites, and the latest of these repercussions is the video clip that ignited social media platforms and its hero was a Turkish sheikh from Sufi groups, with a long beard and a turban on his head, and wearing the Sufi costume known in Turkey, and he appeared in the video clip dancing and swaying to the tunes of music during a wide public celebration of the victory of Erdogan.
But this clip was the straw that set fire to the wildfire of social media platforms in Turkey, as many activists did not accept what Sheikh Al-Sufi did in exchange for others who justified his behavior who considered it consistent with his human nature, and the Shaabat program in its episode on (2023/5/31) monitored some activists' interactions.
The young Khaldoun did not like what the sheikh did, so he wrote criticizing, "Shayeb reduced the prestige of his sheep, and more than that he insulted the beautiful outfit that he is wearing with incomplete movements, there is no justification for this disgusting form of swaying."
But Ghoroob defended the sheikh and his reaction to the election results, writing, "Isn't a cleric a human being with feelings? Religion is easy and not difficult, this man has not sinned, he is a human being."
But Heba MP rejected this justification and said, "Tinkering funny, the problem is not the expression of your joy, but the way of dancing and movements, our sheikh who sees you says you are a professional and a former dancer."
The response to Heba came quickly from activist Kom Abros, who said in a tweet, "Professionalism and mastery have become the problem, not appointing yourself as a guard to interfere in the affairs of others, and giving yourself the right to judge his actions if they do not suit your mood."
After the spread of the video clip and hearing the old Sheikh many criticisms of what he has done, he appeared in another video expressing his apology for what he had done, and said in the video, "Peace be upon you, my friends, we lived yesterday a victory and great joy, and because of our joy and satisfaction, I made these movements against my will, and usually we do not do such movements, I am not of this type, but what happened was because of the state of great joy, we have won, my brother, you know how long they attack us, but we are silent and silent inside us, So that was the expression of joy."
