Beijing, May 5 (Reporter Sun Zifa) As an important part of the China Science Fiction Conference that was first included in the Zhongguancun Forum, the 30 China Science Fiction Industry Summit Forum and Results Conference was held in Beijing Shougang Park on May 2023, and experts interpreted the latest "5 China Science Fiction Industry Report" released on the same day, saying that the current development of China's science fiction industry presents five highlights such as "theme park science fiction amusement projects occupy the main market share".

Professor Wang Ting, director of the China Institute of Science Popularization and director of the China Science Fiction Research Center, made an overall interpretation of the "2023 China Science Fiction Industry Report", and he specifically pointed out that the current development of China's science fiction industry presents five highlights: first, the efficiency of digital technology empowering the science fiction reading industry is prominent, and the revenue of digital reading exceeds that of paper reading for the first time; Second, new formats such as micro-short dramas and short and medium videos are active, and the integration and development trend of various formats of the sci-fi film and television industry is prominent; Third, the proportion of the sci-fi mobile game market has increased, and the overseas market performance of local sci-fi games has performed well; Fourth, the two-dimensional science fiction IP of Guochuang is maturing; Fifth, theme park science fiction amusement projects occupy the main market share, and science fiction scenic spots highlight the characteristics of "science fiction + geography".

At the 2023 China Science Fiction Industry Summit Forum and Results Conference, researcher Chen Ling, director of the Science Popularization and Communication Research Office of the China Institute of Science Popularization and executive deputy director of the China Science Fiction Research Center, released "Who is Paying for Science Fiction - Science Fiction Industry Consumer Market Report", showing that respondents aged 21-40 spend significantly more on science fiction products and services than other groups. The scientific and technological imagination and unique visual effects of sci-fi film and television works, the creativity and associated IP of sci-fi derivatives, and the visual aesthetic style of sci-fi games are the main factors that attract consumers.

Li Honglin, a researcher at the China Institute of Science Popularization, pointed out in the report "Undercurrent: Observation of China's Science Fiction Reading Industry" that the relevant list of "WeChat Reading" shows that the main body of China's science fiction reading market is still dominated by leading writers like Liu Cixin and classic science fiction works translated from abroad, and there is still much room for development of new Chinese original science fiction works.

In the keynote speech session, a number of experts and scholars exchanged and shared with the topics of "Imaginative Expression and "Imagination Consumption" of Chinese Science Fiction Film and Television in Recent Years", "Building a Highland of Film and Television Technology and Empowering the High-quality Development of the Industry", and "Protecting the Take-off of the Science Fiction Industry with the Shield of Intellectual Property Rights".

The roundtable dialogue session focused on the two themes of "New Aspects of the Development of Science Fiction Popular Science Game Industry" and "Science Fiction Culture Communication and Industrial Future from a Global Perspective", and the former conducted dialogues and exchanges on the science fiction popular science game industry, the relationship between science fiction games and popular science games, and film and game interaction. The latter exchanged and shared on the industrial structure of animation films between China and the United Kingdom and the United States, the current situation of Japan's animation industry, and the overseas translation of Chinese science fiction works.
