Mariam Hage as Azra: Enormous emotional impact

The case was actually already closed, and the investigator duo wanted to remove the investigation pictures from the wall, when they had to reopen the whole case ten minutes before the end. The young V-woman (impressive: Mariam Hage), who collected information for Eisner (Harald Krassnitzer) and Fellner (Adele Neuhauser) at the Georgian mafia, had come up with a clever plot to avenge the death of her brother.

The Viennese »Tatort« on Whit Monday had tough action scenes in store, but combined them into a clever ambiguous thriller. When Eisner wanted to arrest the informant he was caring for, she asked in reference to the mafia boss whom she had put behind bars through her actions: "Me or Datviani - just ask yourself what makes the world better."

In our review we wrote: "This ›Tatort‹ is less a mafia opera than a trickster thriller. The fact that, for all his playfulness, he comes along with enormous emotional force is also due to the Serbian-Lebanese-Austrian actress Mariam Hage, who gives an idea of a great tragedy in the embodiment of the bone crusher behind the trickery and wedges. The Vienna ›Tatort‹ is currently on a great run. Speed, depth and good sarcastic humor go together brilliantly here. This episode also has an enormous speed, but those responsible know how to withhold central information over long distances, so that one remains in the approximate with the investigators. To this end, narrative time is cleverly played with.«

We gave 9 out of 10 points. What do you think of the mafia thriller?

Last fall, the filming of another case involving the investigative team led by Fellner and Eisner took place. It is about organic farming - and the criminal machinations surrounding this industry. The working title is »Bauernsterben« (Dying of Farmers). The film was directed by Sabine Derflinger, who ten years ago shot one of the best Viennese "crime scenes" ever with the Grimme-winning prostitution thriller »Angezählt«.
