Beijing, May 5 (Zhongxin Net) -- The final of the 28th National Collegiate Mathematics Competition hosted by the Chinese Mathematical Society was held at Guangdong University of Technology from May 5 to 26, and 28 students from more than 1024,23 participants from 922,32 universities across the country entered the final, nearly 195,<> outstanding students from <> regions across the country, they gathered together to compete, of which <> won the first prize.

The final of the 3th National College Student Mathematics Competition set up three categories: upper mathematics, lower mathematics and non-mathematics, and after fierce competition, 195 students won the first prize, 272 students won the second prize, and 414 students won the third prize. Seven provincial mathematical societies, including Beijing, Guangdong, Henan, Hubei, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shaanxi, won the Excellent Organization Award.

During the competition, the organizing committee also arranged a series of colorful activities for the participating teachers and students, such as academician lectures and visits to the national innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base. Among them, China Science and Technology Publishing Media Co., Ltd. (Science Press) specially exhibited the "National College Mathematics Competition Participation Guide" and "National College Student Mathematics Competition Analysis Course (Non-Mathematics Major)" edited by Professor She Zhikun, which aims to help college students and people who love mathematics better understand the national mathematics competition.

At the award ceremony held on May 5, Peng Liangang, vice president of the Chinese Mathematical Society and director of the Mathematics Competition Committee, said in his speech that the significance of the National Collegiate Mathematics Competition has become increasingly prominent, and has become an organic part of the current mathematical research and application, injecting vitality into the rapid development of mathematics in China. He hoped that mathematics students would seize the opportunity of the fourth round of the wave of scientific and technological revolution, promote training through competition, actively cultivate excellent mathematical thinking ability, strengthen mathematical research, and make positive contributions to the leapfrog development of mathematics.

Professor She Zhikun, leader of the National Collegiate Mathematics Competition Working Group, read the winners of the final of the 14th National Collegiate Mathematics Competition and the winners of the outstanding organization of the competition. Professor Wang Guanghui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematics of Shandong University, received the banner from Professor Chen Zhiqi, Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics of Guangdong University of Technology, and promised to hold the next final and inherit and carry forward the spirit of the National Collegiate Mathematics Competition "Digital Intelligence Leads the Way, Dreaming of the Future".

It is understood that the National Collegiate Mathematics Competition began in October 2009, has been successfully held for 10 sessions so far, and will enter the subject competition list of the Higher Education Association in 2023 (observation catalog).
