Military and strategic expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi said that the Ukrainian counterattack is a surprise at the strategic level in terms of its size and the nature of its objectives, noting that it began several months ago, considering that the battle of Bakhamout is among the tools employed to achieve the success of this attack.

Al-Duwairi's remarks came to the program "Beyond the News" (2023/5/27), which discussed the significance of the escalation of attacks on Russian territory and the nature and objectives of the armed groups that are fighting these battles.

Al-Duwairi explained that the attack, according to the military's expectations, must have beginnings, which will be by hitting warehouses and supply points, to be able to cause confusion, confusion and paralysis among the Russian forces to make the counterattack a success.

On the other hand, military expert and strategist Vasily Fattigarov denied the existence of any Ukrainian strikes against Russia, considering that talk of exhaustion of Russian forces in Bakhamout is wrong, citing the difference in losses between Russia and Ukraine.

Fategarov added that the strikes directed at Russia are taking place under the consent of Western countries that continue to escalate and support Ukraine through advanced weapons, to increase the escalation and heat it to greater levels.

In turn, Oleksiy Melnik, former Ukrainian assistant defense minister, said that America is trying to prevent Ukraine from striking Russia, stressing that the attacks carried out by Ukrainian forces against Russia use their local weapons.

He added that China, America and India are working to send messages to Moscow not to use nuclear weapons, because of the dangers they contain that may change humanity and work to bring all countries into a world war.

It is noteworthy that the governor of the Russian Belgorod said that two large institutions in the province were bombed within attacks inside the Russian depth, amid conflicting versions of Moscow and Kiev about the groups of fighters that were said to have penetrated into Russian territory to launch those attacks on different regions, and these developments coincide with the escalation of Ukrainian attacks on Russian sites in Donetsk, Mariupol and Crimea.
