In the face of emerging infectious diseases, what can humans do? Human beings can only do two things, the first thing is to invest money in basic research, research and development, good scientific research, technology development, and finally products serve the people and serve the people of the world. Today we should say that it is the post-COVID era, the virus will coexist with humanity, we can't just look at the coronavirus, we also think about this crisis, we need to seize the opportunity. A community with a shared future for human health, how to do this thing well, can we seize this opportunity, so I have been making reports before this often said that we must develop a big health industry, and the big health industry is not generally just a vaccine, a drug, a diagnostic reagent, it is very extensive.

Gao Fu believes that the big health industry needs to pay more attention to the resilience to deal with the new crown epidemic such as the new crown epidemic.

For example, when there were no masks at the beginning, the resilience of many Chinese companies (helped) China to produce masks, and many countries in the world could not produce masks, which the world should learn from China. Therefore, the resilience in the big health industry is very helpful for us to prevent and control such a pandemic represented by the new crown in the future, which is worth thinking about.

Zhong Nanshan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases, said that outbreaks are inevitable, but they can prevent pandemics from spreading widely around the world.

Outbreaks are inevitable, but pandemics are preventable. Epidemic infectious diseases know no borders, and only when countries around the world recognize the great harm caused by the global pandemic to mankind can they jointly bear and respond to it, which is an important and correct choice. The world must establish a closer and more efficient cooperation mechanism and strengthen cooperation in information sharing, joint prevention, academic exchanges and mutual resources.

Liang Wannian, executive vice dean of Tsinghua University's Vanke School of Public Health and Health, said that the response to the new crown epidemic has exposed the shortcomings of the public health system, such as the single knowledge structure of talents, the weak on-site work ability, and the weak ability to predict and early warning, so it is urgent to cultivate talents in the field of interdisciplinary and composite public health.

The cultivation of public health talents should change the knowledge, skills and attitudes of our public health that were guided by diseases in the past. It is necessary to turn to (covering) physiological, psychological, social, environmental, moral (etc.) modern medical models to cultivate a kind of cross-compound talent that is truly suitable for coping with the pandemic, including the usual chronic disease management and risk factor intervention.
