A pizza maker in Munich has been trapped in his dough kneading machine. According to his own statements, the fire brigade freed him from his predicament with a saber saw and lifting bags.

The 33-year-old wanted to prepare dough for the pizzas on Thursday when his arm got between the mixing bowl and the machine, the Munich fire department announced on Friday. The man had not been able to free himself and his arm had been tied off.

Olive oil does not lead to salvation

According to the information, colleagues first tried to smear the arm with olive oil, but that did not help. The emergency services had to saw off the dough hook from the machine in order to reduce the pressure on the arm. Then they lifted the bowl with a lifting bag to pull out the arm. Meanwhile, the injured man was treated by the rescue team.

After twelve minutes, the man was freed, according to the fire department. He was taken to a hospital, where he was further examined.
