Xining, May 5 (ZHANG Haiwen) On the evening of the 25th, the large-scale Amdo Tibetan opera "Princess of Jincheng" funded by the National Arts Fund's 24 Stage Art Creation Project premiered at the Qinghai Grand Theatre in Xining, Qinghai Province. The play was performed by the Qinghai Tibetan Opera Troupe and the Huangnan Prefecture National Song and Dance Troupe, and took three years to prepare.

The play takes the incident of the second princess of the Tang Dynasty entering Tibet, Princess Jincheng, marrying Tubo as the historical background, and deeply restores and portrays the process of entering Tibet and the story of strengthening the friendship between Tang and Tang after entering Tibet, promoting national unity, and winning the love and admiration of the people.

The play is composed of the famous Tibetan opera screenwriter and director Ren Qingjia as the chief screenwriter and director, gathering the outstanding creative forces in the Tibetan opera troupe in Qinghai Province, and inviting national composers, stage designers, costume designers, ethnic music producers and other experts to undertake relevant creative tasks to complete the creation.

Renqingjia introduced that the singing, music, costumes, stage design and other aspects of the play fully consider the characteristics of the era and national culture, and strive to integrate the original appearance of historical events with the audience's sense of substitution, and carefully create a wonderful large-scale Tibetan drama program integrating culture, art and history, presenting an unprecedented all-round sensory cultural feast for the audience.

Sonorous drums, Tibetan opera echoes. "The drumming is a representative symbol in Tibetan opera, and opening with a drum, you are telling the audience that this is a Tibetan opera." Rinzingga told reporters.

A wonderful Tibetan opera slowly opened with the sound of majestic and loud drums, and the actors told the life of Princess Jincheng with superb acting skills, superb singing skills, unique dances and exquisite costumes, showing the unique charm and historical heritage of national culture.

The Qinghai Tibetan Opera Troupe and Huangnan Prefecture National Song and Dance Troupe were founded in 1965, approved as Qinghai Tibetan Opera Troupe in 1998, and recognized as the national intangible cultural heritage "Huangnan Tibetan Opera" project protection and implementation unit in 2008.

Over the past 2008 years, the troupe has inherited, created and staged a number of excellent literary and artistic works of different themes and genres, and has now developed into one of the influential professional troupes in Tibet-related areas of China.
