Saxony-Anhalt: Dead man found in tent on festival grounds

A dead man has been found at a festival in Saxony-Anhalt. According to police, a 56-year-old was discovered in the morning in a tent at the staff campsite of the Sputnik Spring Break Festival on the Pouch peninsula near Bitterfeld.

There was no third-party fault, it said. The cause of death is still unclear. Previously, the »Mitteldeutsche Zeitung« had reported.

The MDR as organizer confirmed the death on the festival grounds. With its radio station MDR Sputnik, the broadcaster wants to appeal to a young audience.

"We hope that there will soon be verified findings on the circumstances." The news makes affected, said the MDR. "Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this time."

From 26 to 29 May, thousands of visitors are expected to attend the electro, pop and hip-hop festival on the Pouch peninsula.
