When it comes to computer games, things can get busy for die-hard fans – and loudly too. Thoughtless cries for help from a committed player have now triggered a police and fire brigade operation in Bendfeld, Schleswig-Holstein.

As the police in Kiel announced, the young man played on Wednesday evening with the window open with headphones and let out loud screams. Local residents heard this and called the police because they could not locate the source.

Player wants to be quieter in the future

According to the police, the people from the neighborhood had already begun to search the surrounding forest and meadow area and the area around a rainwater retention basin. The alerted emergency services were also already examining the use of a drone when the matter cleared up.

According to the information, the gamer told the police that he had played online with others and thoughtlessly emitted the loud cries for help "without malicious intent".

According to the police, the young man was allegedly not aware of his own volume due to his headphones. "He will express his emotions more quietly in the future and has the certainty that the village community in Bendfeld works," the officials summarized the operation.
