There have been a series of problems in which another person's certificate is issued in a service that uses My Number cards to issue certificates at convenience stores. Fujitsu President Takahito Tokita apologized for the problem in a system operated by a subsidiary and expressed his intention to strengthen the system to prevent recurrence.

Fujitsu's subsidiaries operate a system that uses My Number cards to issue certificates such as copies of resident certificates at convenience stores, but there have been a total of 14 problems in which certificates of another person are issued.

Fujitsu President Tokita apologized at a management plan briefing on March 24, saying, "We deeply apologize for the great concern and inconvenience caused to our customers and other related parties."

In addition, as measures to prevent recurrence, we have newly appointed specialized executives to strengthen quality control, and the Risk Management and Compliance Committee, headed by the president, meets monthly to respond more quickly to defects.

President Tokita stated, "We take this situation very seriously, and we will do our utmost to carry out the inspection work and work to restore trust."

In response to this problem, the company announced on the 23rd that it would shut down this system until the 4th of next month at the latest and conduct a simultaneous inspection.
