As support for Ukraine, 100 trucks owned by the Ground Self-Defense Force will be provided, and a handover ceremony was held at the Ministry of Defense on May 24.

Prime Minister Kishida met with President Zelensky of Ukraine on May 21 and conveyed his policy of providing approximately 10 emergency meals to approximately 100 vehicles, including the Self-Defense Forces' 3-seater high-mobility trucks and materials carriers that deal with debris disposal, as additional support.

On the 24th, a handover ceremony was held at the Ministry of Defense, and an inventory of materials provided by State Minister Ino was handed over to Ambassador Korsunsky of Ukraine to Japan.

State Minister Ino stated, "Both vehicles have been active in the missions of the Self-Defense Forces, and we will gradually transport them to Ukraine with the cooperation of the Ground Self-Defense Forces throughout Japan," while Ambassador Korsunsky said, "I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude. Japan is a very important partner that we can trust for Ukraine."

In addition, the Ministry of Defense and the Self-Defense Forces announced a policy of accepting two wounded soldiers to the Self-Defense Forces hospital next month, and will continue to provide support.
