Beijing, May 5 (ZXS) -- This reporter learned from the China Meteorological Administration on the 19th that China's weather situation is complicated recently, and there are many severe weather, and the 19th sand and dust weather process this year will affect China.

Affected by cold air, on the 19th and 20th, northern China will experience a significant windy cooling and dust process, which is also the 14th sand and dust weather process affecting China this year. The Central Meteorological Observatory also issued a blue warning for high winds and sandstorms.

Specifically, from the afternoon of the 19th to the 20th, there were winds of 5~7 and above local 8 in parts of Inner Mongolia, the west of Northeast China, southern and eastern Xinjiang, eastern Northwest China, and northern North China, and gusts of wind could reach 9~11. In addition, the temperature in some of the above areas drops by 4~8 °C, and the local cooling exceeds 10 °C.

Affected by strong winds, from the afternoon of the 19th to the 20th, there were sandstorms or floating dust in southern and eastern Xinjiang, northwestern Qinghai, central and southeastern Inner Mongolia, central and western Gansu, north-central Ningxia, northern Shaanxi, north-central Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, northern Shandong, central and western Liaoning, western Jilin and other places, among which, there were sandstorms in central and western Inner Mongolia. During the day on the 21st, the sand and dust in the above areas gradually weakened.

The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that from the 20th to the 22nd, there will be a large-scale rainfall process in the southern region, the rainfall is more scattered, but the local intensity is large, southern Shaanxi, eastern Sichuan, Chongqing, western and southeastern Hubei, northern and southwestern Hunan, northern Jiangxi, southern Anhui, western Zhejiang, northern Fujian and other places have heavy rainfall, local heavy rain, accompanied by short-term heavy precipitation, thunderstorms and winds and other strong convective weather, the cumulative rainfall in the above areas is 20~40 mm, local 50~150 mm.

Meteorological experts suggest that the wind is strong in North China, Northeast China and Inner Mongolia, and extreme winds may occur locally, and it is recommended to do a good job in windproof reinforcement of facility agriculture and temporary structures; Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Shanxi, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other places have strengthened the prevention of strong convective weather hazards, and outdoor activities have done a good job in safety protection; Northwest China, North China and other places pay attention to the impact of sand and dust weather, and do a good job in traffic management and human health protection.

In addition, Jiangnan and Guizhou, Sichuan, Hubei and other places have the risk of heavy rain disasters, experts recommend doing a good job of patrolling and eliminating hazards at disaster hidden danger points to prevent secondary disasters such as landslides, mudslides, flash floods, and urban and rural waterlogging that may be triggered.
