The film will depict how Bergling, who passed away in 2018, was discovered and became an international phenomenon with the help of manager Ash Pournouri. The documentary will feature previously unpublished clips as well as fresh interviews with the star's family and friends.
"Avicii changed the music industry," says Orlando John, who co-directs with Jonas Trukanas, explaining that the film should tell "what really happened."

The documentary is the second in the works. Henrik Burman and Björn Tjärnberg began shooting a film in 2019 with a planned premiere in 2023.
DJ, musician and producer Tim Bergling has previously also been portrayed in the documentary "Avicii: True Stories" from 2017.
