Xishuangbanna, April 4 (Reporter Miao Chao) On April 28, the ninth issue of "Folk Song Grand View" "Riding the High-speed Train to See the Sea" Yunnan classic folk song music sharing meeting entered Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province, bordering Laos, to enhance mutual understanding between the Chinese and Lao people through music and cultural exchanges.

The Lancang-Mekong River, which winds thousands of kilometers, starts from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China, runs south through Yunnan, flows through Xishuangbanna Prefecture, and rushes towards Laos. The people of China and Laos have been drinking the same river since ancient times, and their destinies are closely linked. After the opening of the China-Laos Railway, it has further promoted the economic and social development of the two countries, witnessed the long-lasting friendship between China and Laos, and built a bridge for the interconnection of the two countries.

On April 4 this year, the China-Laos Railway international passenger train was launched, and Kunming, China to Vientiane, Laos realized the "life of two cities" that can be reached day and night, becoming a link between the two peoples.

On the 26th, the rap song "Take the high-speed train to see the sea" (old text) was first released in Xishuangbanna. The lyrics of this song fully show the great convenience brought by the China-Laos railway to the river and the sea.

Jiang Mingchu, the planner of the sharing session and a well-known lyricist in Yunnan, introduced that the sharing meeting will take the form of a combination of online and offline, online synchronization of China News Network and overseas social media live broadcast, offline in Xishuangbanna Prefecture Manting Park, Dai Nationality Park, Jiuzhuang Xishuangjing and China-Laos Railway Mohan Station, hoping to help the "Belt and Road" construction in the form of music and cultural exchanges, while combining the ethnic customs and friendship between China and Laos in Xishuangbanna, so that more people can understand and feel the unique charm of this land.

"There are many ethnic groups living in Xishuangbanna, and in the historical years of common harmony, all ethnic groups have created ethnic folk music with rich connotations and a wide range of themes in their different languages, forming a rich national folk music heritage." Yue Shaopeng, music director of the sharing session, member of the Chinese Musicians Association and executive director of the Yunnan Pop Music Society, said that among the ethnic folk music in Xishuangbanna, some are similar to the musical styles of Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries. For a long time, music exchange has also been the main form of communication between Xishuangbanna and neighboring countries, and this sharing meeting takes Yunnan's traditional folk songs and music including Xishuangbanna as the carrier, and also hopes to promote the people-to-people connection between Yunnan and neighboring countries, further tell Chinese stories and Yunnan stories to the outside world, and promote Chinese culture to the world.

The sharing meeting began with the rap song "Riding the High-Speed Train to See the Sea", inviting Dong Xian, member of the Chinese Musicians Association and Bai soprano singer, Li Jun, a national first-class actor and Yi tenor, He Jia, a national first-class actor and Lahu soprano singer, Mixian member of the China Musicians Association Yunnan, Bao Wu, a Hani female singer, Zigu, an independent original musician Yuen Mingma and other artists, to perform "The Day of Gathering", "Mi Rest", "Toast Song", "Let Me Understand Your Language" for audiences at home and abroad.
