How is daily garbage disposed of on the Chinese space station?

Domestic garbage is easy to mold and deteriorate after it is put away, so it will cause certain pollution to the environment in the cabin, and we have to deal with it relatively strictly. We first have to put the household waste into a sealed bag, and then carry out the sealing process of heat sealing vacuum.

【Commentary】On April 4, the "Tiangong Dialogue-Shenzhou 20 Astronaut Crew and Shanghai Cooperation Organization National Youth Q&A" activity was held in Beijing. At the event, teenagers from more than ten countries including China, India, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan asked questions to the Shenzhou <> crew in the space station and the Shenzhou <> crew astronaut Cai Xuzhe who attended the event, and the astronauts answered them one by one.

We know that flying a spaceship is a very complex task, can you tell us what is the most difficult thing about it?

First of all, it must withstand the test of various harsh links such as overweight, vibration, noise, and shock when ascending and returning. The most difficult mission ever done in space was an out-of-cabin activity mission. During the exit period, we need to wear heavy extravehicular spacesuits and perform extravehicular operations in open space for up to 6 to 7 hours.

【Commentary】With the popularization and encouragement of astronauts, the young people who participated in the activities showed a strong interest in aerospace.

I hope Uncle Cai Xuzhe can sign me here. My dream is also to fly into the blue sky like Uncle Cai Xuzhe and swim in space. This is Uncle Cai Xuzhe, this is me, he took my hand, and the two of us flew in space together, which means that my dream has come true.

Will you swim in the spaceship, is there a pool? [I] wanted to build a pool. I flew directly to China, then took a "car" (rocket) to the space station, and then built a pool inside the spaceship.

The event was jointly organized by the SCO Committee for Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation, the China Manned Space Engineering Office, the All-China Youth Federation, the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the SCO Secretariat, and the SCO Youth Committee Secretariat. Zhang Ming, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, said that young people are the future of the SCO, and hopes to guide them to explore and think about space through this activity.

I think these children will have an important impact on their lives, and when they grow up one day, they will remember that in April 2023, we participated in a "Tiangong Dialogue".
